The bulk of the NFL offseason is over. All major free agents (besides Jadaveon Clowney) have been signed, and the NFL draft has already offered. Because of this, we can now analyze which teams have improved the most heading into next season, according to our model rankings. Here are the 5 most improved teams heading into the 2020 season:
Miami Dolphins (+10.9)
Miami added tons of pieces this offseason in Byron Jones, Kyle Van Noy, Ereck Flowers, Elandon Roberts, and more.
2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+9.7)
The addition of an elite QB in Tom Brady plus a hall of fame tight end in Rob Gronkowski instantly makes the Bucs a title contender in the NFC. They improved their overall ranking to #4 from #11 at the end of last season.
3. Indianapolis Colts (+7.07)
Getting Philip Rivers and having a healthy TY Hilton next year alone greatly improves the colts heading into next season, and we even have them winning their division over the Titans.
4. Arizona Cardinals (+5.85)
The addition of Deandre Hopkins, Devon Kennard, Dvondre Campbell, Isiaiah Simmons, and expected progression of Kyler Murray makes the cardinals jump from #18 in last years rankings all the way to #8 this year.
5. Las Vegas Raiders (+5.75)
Adding elite LBs in Cory Littleton and Nick Kwistowski will sure up a bad defense from last season. Expect the raiders to be much better heading into 2020.
